She studied an academic course from 1934-1936 in the class of professor Ivan Radovic. She was in Paris from 1936-1939. She is one of the founders of “Desetorica” group (1940). She worked as a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade   from 1948-1972. She became a corresponding member of the Serbian Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1968 and she became a full member in 1978. Alongside with painting she was engaged in illustrations for children's books and magazines.

It is about the idea that “maturity is an ongoing rejection of unnecessary”.  The creative act, accomplished in a light manner and freedom of expression, offered the sound of a powerful pictorial sensation to her drawing. It looks like a polished, lyric miniature. At the end, let’s remind ourselves of the modest but wise truth that confirms Cuca Sokic’s creative credo:” A man will create according to the given talent since everything depends on what an artist can do and not on what he wants to do.”
