Drawing Art Gallery CHAOS

Kosta Bodanovic was born in the village of Osijek, near Sarajevo, in 1930. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, department of art history in Belgrade. He studied sculpture at Sreten Stojanovic's studio. He worked in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade for three decades, first as a curator and later as a director. He established the Centre for visual culture in 1974. He introduced the subject Visual culture at the Academies in Sarajevo and Banja Luka. He works as a professor of the Theory of visual culture, at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. His works are to be found in many collections in museums and art galleries. He did many of his sculptures in exterior.

Everything develops according to the cycles. Motivated with the nature of material, inspired by a certain occurrence, notion or a realistic problem, through his art works he offers to a spectator many aspects and many possible solutions: the artist’s idea can be perceived in its totality…at the first sight the artist’s “global quest for beauty” is demonstrated. He evokes physical and emotional light, the space and the perspective; he creates the illusion of the transformation of forms, depending on the light and a vantage point. Together with all creative delicacy and refinement it is an approach that does not allow coincidences.
