"Our analysis of the water-colours-drawingw would have to establish some moves concerning the real  and formal content while the meaning of the formal remains within the sphere of hiponoia. It is true that: similar and dissimilar, drawn and coloured, dark and light, vertical and horizontal – all participate in the constituing of visual impressions. But when he wants to name what with the assistance of this constitution should be reached, Karadžić writes: air (atmpsphere). And then we clearly notice that in all these works like a veil, regardless of various solutions to the problem of constituting visual impressions and regardless of the »motive«, the blue colour in fact reigns."
